Tips for a Successful Open House

Today we want to talk about a few things that might help you out when you are doing an open house. These are just a few tips to keep in mind to make the process a whole lot easier.

First off, you want to make sure that there is no clutter in the house. Get all of the personal items and photographs out of there. You want your home to be as neutral as possible so that a potential buyer can envision living there.

As far as marketing an open house goes, marketing the open house on Realtor.com is a great place to do so to ensure that the most people see it. Another good thing to do is tell your neighbors that you are having an open house so that they are aware of it. This way, they can act as advertisements for your open house by letting friends, acquaintances, and co-workers know about it.

One old-school technique that still works pretty well is sticking a sign in the yard. This is just another way to let people know when and where they can expect an open house. Talk to other Realtors as well. They could help you out with promoting your open house in exchange for promoting theirs.

These are just a few tips on ways to host a successful open house. If you'd like even more tips or if you just have a question on the topic, please feel free to give us a call or send us an email. We'd love to help out!

  1. What great information about how to make the most out of an open house. I personally really like the idea of going the traditional way and having a sign in the yard to have people know that we're selling out home. I also think that it is very interesting that you suggested taking out all the family photos. That really is something that I would have never really thought of. Thank you for taking the time to share this information. http://www.avalonproperties.com
